Eime Tobari is a qualified architect in Japan. She has extensive research experience in architecture and sociology, focusing on the relationship between space and its behavioural, social and economic outcomes. Since 2007 when she joined Space Syntax Limited, Eime has been involved in a variety of projects, ranging from the internal layout of buildings to city-wide masterplanning, in the UK and internationally, for both private and public sector clients. More recently she has been focusing on promoting a health and wellbeing agenda in urban planning and design, working with cities across the UK. Eime is also in charge of the Space Syntax Academy, which offers a range of training programmes to practitioners and academics.
